Microsoft Enterprise side-loading & future of desktop/native apps

Big airline contracts might be flashy (and, I suspect, not very profitable) but they're no substitute for a decent ecosystem. Starting May 1st, the little and no so little guys developing real apps (not scripts) might have a chance to live too, once Microsoft's 'brilliant' plan to make money off Enterprise side-loading goes the way of the dodo bird.

The damage is already done but if Metro (there, I said it) apps are unlocked and allowed to run in window/desktop mode (maybe even without some of the sandbox limitations) things might improve.
