Folder Security in Vista/Longhorn

I work with lots of files and folders...lots. Think ~30 websites, each with it's own set of folders, each needing to be built, tested and deployed. The 'build' part of the story is fun most of the time and it has nothing to do with this subject. The problem starts when I tried to test & deploy some web applications on my new & fancy BOXX machine @ work. Since I got this baby to play with, I decided to go ahead and put Vista on it - not a bad ideea since we're always into new technologies and things like that and by getting Vista early on my computer I'll have time to play with some of the new things it brings to the table.

VS2005 works like a charm (after a couple patches), so does the new IIS. Windows Explorer (yeah, I know) proved to be some really weird beast (much more weird than, say.., the new IIS7). It's fluffy and confusing and wastes a lot of space on useless crap and.....so on - after all, nothing major - just a lot of small annoyances. So, I go ahead and build a ASP.NET website, create the application in IIS, setup the app pool, fire the browser and BANG! errors all over the place. I kindof remember that there are at least 5 folders that have to have their security set so that the IIS process can write in them. I go, as I usually do, in Windows explorer, select all 5 of them and click on properties only to find out that there's no Security tab anymore. It seems that as of Vista, the security tab will only work for just one folder, not multiple ones like in previous versions of Windows.

I haven't been able to find a decent workaround so far (setting the write permissions on the top folder and propagating them is far from decent).C'mon Microsoft, come up with a decent UI that will also work for people that don't really give a crap about fluffyness and just want to get things done FAST!
